Hamilton, ON

Ground up Development

Net Zero Construction was engaged from the earliest stages of this development. Leveraging our extensive experience in commercial design and construction, we worked directly with the client to navigate the Site Plan Application process and support the architectural development of the building.

This facility is unique in both its design and the complexities of its site. Hamilton is known for challenging ground conditions due to its significant clay deposits, and this project required careful planning to address soil limitations and in‑ground contamination mitigation. These factors introduced technical challenges early in the design‑build process, where our team’s problem‑solving and coordination played a critical role.

The building itself was designed to operate as a fully Net Zero facility, allowing our construction and design‑assist teams to contribute meaningful value throughout the project. Solar and geothermal systems form the backbone of its sustainable performance, complementing the state‑of‑the‑art self‑storage systems integrated throughout the facility. From a fully touchless client access to the facility, to the oversized freight elevators, this site has everything today’s clients are looking for.

This project stands as a showcase of Net Zero Construction’s ability to manage complex sites, support sustainable design, and deliver high‑performance facilities with pride.
